Last week we delivered donations to the Community Fridge London and the Caring Cupboard at our Baseline property. Food insecurity within our city is growing and more and more people are needing help.
Community Fridge London is an initiative that aims to provide fresh food and staples for free, through a community fridge and pantry, to combat food insecurity. To learn more and about how to donate, click here.
The Caring Cupboard is a tenant in-house food bank, and it serves just the tenants in the building — most of whom are seniors living on fixed incomes, Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Payments.
For those wishing to donate to The Caring Cupboard you can drop off donations to 30 Baseline Rd West on Fridays from 1pm until 4pm or or call Fran Wassmer at 519-777-4808.
